BUSY BEE.

It's a constant battle to try to keep my life organized!
This week I feel like I have been trying to keep my head above water.
I've been trying to be social and spend time with family, friends, and the boyfriend as much as I can. Every gap of my time seems to fill up so quickly!
Tonight I had to pass going out to the jazz club to get organized and get on top of all the emails I had to respond to. Right now my inbox is full from constantly speaking with possible makeup artists and stylists for my upcoming shoots. I'm really excited for my upcoming shoots!
Right now I have so many ideas it's overwhelming!
I'm trying to write everything down in emails to myself haha.
Anyways It's almost 2 am, I better get to bed.
Night night!

MY EXHIBITION, COMING SOON!

Here's a couple of my photos from Paris that are going to be put up in an upcoming exhibit in Los Angeles.
They will be up from August 4th, through Labor Day.
Opening night will be a cocktail party for friends & family.

HAVE I TAKEN A RISK TODAY?

I think the more you don't take risks in life,
the more intimidating it is to put one foot in front of the other.
I think sometimes it's good to ask yourself,
"Did I take one risk today?"
"Did I break the law today?"
That's of course in terms of the law being that law you set about your own life.
It's always good to explore my options, and be risky.
If you just try a little bit, it's so reinforcing.
Almost without fail, good things come from taking risks.

MY NEXT SHOOT

Lately I have been inspired by the great photographer
Helmut Newton.

I have been inspired to do a night shoot
based off of this photograph:

I'VE RETURNED FROM PARIS

For the first time in my life, I don’t think I have ever been so present in my growth. I learned a few more layers to myself from this trip. I don’t know if I can pin point exactly if it was because of my head trauma from the accident a few months ago, or just me constantly growing, but you can definitely see the change in me through my work now. I think that's so fascinating that you can see where a person is at in their life, or what's going on inside them, through their work. People suggest that my work is very moody, and dark now. I like to work with shadows, and minimal light. I don’t like any of my old work, because it was so luminous, and vibrant. Because of this change in me, I started my portfolio over. I'm starting fresh. I really decided to make a choice, about the caliber of work I'm going to do.

I also learned that I am worthy of everything I give to myself. I made all this happen, and I deserve it. I worked very hard to get here. Not only did I save half of my income a month to get myself to Paris; but I also built a good enough portfolio on my own without the guidance of a professor, or anyone; it was my very own eye that got me to this point. Now I feel like I can only go up from here. It would be a shame if I didn’t take this huge leap and keep running with it. So I’m going to keep running with this opportunity and produce it in my every day life at home. I’m going to keep building up from here, and create a team of stylists. I’m going to expand my portfolio in the editorial direction, and only work with agency models. My goal is to eventually start shooting for magazines, and to pursue my goal of one day becoming an art director. I’ve decided that I’m going to make it happen.

I can't believe that I can say that the

FIRST time I shot in a studio,

it was in Paris,

and I was shooting

$50,000 Haute Couture gowns!

FASHION DESIGNER, ART-C

Today I had a shoot with up and coming Designer, Art-C.
He's punk rock, with a touch of elegance.
In his boutique you'll find, mini stuffed white tigers,
peacock feathers, mini Eiffel Towers,
& gold sequins all over the ground.
His color theme: pink, yellow, orange, cream, green, blue, and gold.
I loved his work!

PARIS PHOTO SHOOT

Today was the best day of my life.
I had an on location photo shoot in Paris.
The model was a 19 year old, professional model, with a lot of
experience; (including the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine.)
The clothes- Alexander McQueen
The theme- very Helmut Newton.
I really tried to use the shadows and the dim light to my advantage.
I stuck to my vision.
My photos turned out very moody & very editorial.
I'm really happy with my results...

Tomorrow I will be going to a fashion show at Haute Couture week.
I am excited to actually be in the audience, instead of fighting for a spot to shoot it!
