Prague is really beautiful!! Today I was on my way to go to one of Prague's walking tours to get my bearings of the city, and I couldn't find my way there. So I heard these two girls speaking english, so I stopped to ask them how to get to Old Town Square. They were really friendly girls, so I started to walk and talk with them. I asked them where they're from, it turns out they're from Vancouver! We ended up hanging out for the whole day! We went up into this tower that has a stunning view of Prague. While we were up there it started to pour down rain and there was thunder and lightening all around us! I got some stunning shots of the Old Town Square right before it started to rain; you could see the threatening clouds rolling in. We went down to the open streets once it stopped raining, and we walked over to have lunch at this quaint little cafe. I had Czech's famous Pilsner beer, spinach soup and dumplings. Right next door there was this little shack that made the GREATEST doughy rolls that were rolled in sugar (kind of like a churro but better) IT WAS SO GOOD! After that we walked over towards Charles Bridge, and you can see the grand Castle from the bridge! We walked up the hill towards this bar that Katie heard has a beautiful view, it was called "Cowboys." We went to the rooftop, and it started to rain again! We sat on this patio that was sheltered from the rain. My friend Melissa (from Australia) and her friend met up with us there. From there we went out to dinner at this authentic Czech cuisine place. They served mainly meats & potatoes. I had a salad haha.
Callie comes to stay with me tomorrow through Sunday, so it will be nice to have a room mate in my big & quiet apartment! Maybe tomorrow Callie and I will hit up one of the free walking tours so we can get our bearings a little better. I heard from Katie & Kelsey that there is this world famous bar here! It has five stories, and on every floor they play a different kind of music (ex. top 40, disco, electronic, wedding party.) So I think tomorrow night we might go there, friday night should be fun!
